Since I want this blog to have a backbone of kindness and gratitude, I figured I should come right out of the gates with a 30 days of gratitude post challenge.
I’ve found it very challenging as I have gotten older to remain grateful when caught up in the stress of daily life. However, it’s just as an important part of being healthy as eating well, exercising, and getting enough sleep. I’m at the point where I want and need to make sure I’m in a good spot both physically and mentally. No doubt, I struggle, but I keep trying!
Now, let’s get to the gratitude:
Day 1: What smell are you grateful for today?
Answer: I’ve been on a kick for the longest time with citrus-y scents. The hubby and I recently purchased an essential oil diffuser to make our house smell nice. He picked out a lemongrass oil, and I picked out a grapefruit oil. Our house smells SO FRESH. I am grateful that it covers up whatever random smells decide to waft out of the sink area of the kitchen, since I’m not always Johnny-on-the-spot with the dirty dishes…
So, tell me – do you struggle to be grateful? Are you grateful for any particular smells?
Remember that it’s okay to be grateful for the big things like family and friends, but it’s also okay if the only gratitude you can muster on any given day is for the existence of Lysol wipes. It’s cool to have balance.
